Many tech companies, public advocacy groups and Democrats support Wheeler s plan, and are feeling confident that the two Democratic FCC commissioners will side with Wheeler. But if the vote favors consumers, the celebration isn t likely to last for long — see above tweet from Thune. And the reaction will go beyond legislative, legal action is sure to follow. In addition, as my colleague Troy Wolverton wrote recently, the FCC plan has some loopholes that could still fall short of absolute net neutrality.

Correspondent, In its current season, San Francisco Ballet will present only two premieres, which makes the company’s offerings read like a little ballerinas ballet theme - childrens art print - 8.5 x 11 “best of” showcase, Iconic works such as Jerome Robbins’ “Dances at a Gathering” (Program 4), George Balanchine’s “Four Temperaments” (Program 7), and Helgi Tomasson’s “Romeo and Juliet” (Program 8) pack the bills, backed up by gems such as Alexi Ratmansky’s “Shostakovich Trilogy” (Program 6)..

If in recent years, Tomasson’s curation has come to seem predictable, in Program 3, the artistic director found new sources of ingenuity, reminiscent of a museum curator finding new life in familiar works juxtaposed in surprising combinations. The most unlikely choice was his placement of the “Kingdom of the Shades” excerpt from Marius Petipa’s 1877 “La Bayadere,” alongside Hans van Manen’s 2012 “Variations for Two Couples” and William Forsythe’s 1996 “Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude,” which, despite its age, is still as cheeky as ever. Tomasson saw common ground in 20th and early 21st century manipulations of ballet and the stunningly spare precision dancing of “La Bayadere.”.

This brought us to the question: what is ballet? Tomasson’s generous answer offered the stunningly talented 24-year-old choreographer Myles Thatcher, a member of San Francisco Ballet’s corps de ballet, exactly the kind of company his new work, “Manifesto,” deserved, Georgia-born Thatcher, who has been with the San Francisco Ballet since he joined as an apprentice in 2008, set his elegant, little ballerinas ballet theme - childrens art print - 8.5 x 11 moody clockwork dance for 12 to Bach’s “The Musical Offering” and “Goldberg Variations.” “Manifesto” picks up the thread of van Manen, who tightly structures two couples into a language of turns and extensions, and it foreshadows “La Bayadere” with its ghostly, at times icy, lighting (Mary Louise Geiger) and dark, regally spare costumes (Mark Zappone), which evoke the vestments of fashion-forward vampire priests and priestesses..

“Manifesto” may deserve trimming, but as a statement of aims, Thatcher established his dance terms: the creation of classical dance forms and their dissolution. Thatcher answers the question — “What is ballet?” — by squeezing the rules, letting arm work shatter into staccato fragments and employing Bach’s mathematical patterns by first mirroring and then erasing them with elegant sleight of hand. He shifts and layers action to mirror the lacework of Bach’s canons, then dissolves the patterns before he traps us in them. Remarkably for a choreographer so young, his craft never becomes leaden or didactic, and his musicality is in the fabric of the work itself.

Soloist Jennifer Stahl, who has rapidly progressed from energetic colt to poised lead, was the doyenne of this rigorous landscape, Corps member Norika Matsuyama is one to watch, Dores Andre once again proved herself to be a lovely powerhouse, and Sean Orza, Steven Morse and Hansuke Yamamoto exuded mastery and calm command, In Forsythe’s “Vertiginous,” which is the grandfather of ballet deconstruction set to 12 minutes of Franz Schubert’s “Symphony No, 9,” Frances little ballerinas ballet theme - childrens art print - 8.5 x 11 Chung spun like whipped butter, and Sofiane Sylve was the Anjelica Huston of the night — joyously devouring the stage, larger than life, Carlo Lanna and Gennadi Nedvigin made one believe that such brutal filigree dancing was easy, Vanessa Zahorian, despite missing last season because of injury, was undaunted..

In “Variations,” Davit Karapetyan, Carlos Quenedit, Sarah Van Patten and Chung exquisitely spun, extended and rotated. And Yuan Yuan Tan and Taras Domitro in “Bayadere” closed the night showing us how, nearly 140 years ago, the stripped-down stage and linear movement we associate with contemporary ballet was already underway. Program 4 opens Thursday night, with the revival of Jerome Robbins’ glorious “Dances at a Gathering,” set to Chopin, and Liam Scarlett’s “Hummingbird,” set to Philip Glass, which premiered last year. If Program 3 dived into the clockworks of ballet, examined and even exploded them, Program 4 will be a paean to the lush romanticism of the form.
