1950's Framed Ballet Print By Marchaude, Ballet Pas De Duex Picture, Ballerina En Pointe With Tutu, Dancers Wall Art, Mid Ce - Latest

This Mid Century ballet print shows two ballerinas in a Pas de Duex seemingly caught in the middle of their dance. She is en pointe, meaning she is dancing with her toe shoes, as he appears ready to guide her to her next position. The lovely ballerina is wearing a pretty tutu with a large pink feather hanging from one side that matches the one in her hair. Her partner, the male ballerina, or dansuer, wears a brown bodysuit with flowing sleeves. The gray background of this picture has a watercolor look while the floor is dark to set off the dancers.Found in this lovely cream colored frame that I believe is original, the inside has a wonderful textured look that has grey undertones, which coordinates with the picture's background. The frame is 8" by 10" and has that simply charming look of the late 1940's to mid 50's. The artist's name, Marchaude, is imprinted in the bottom right corner. Unfortunately I could not find any information out about him/her and it quite possibly was a pseudonym that many artist's used during this period. This pretty picture is in great vintage condition with a few nicks and scrapes as to be expected and it only adds to it's allure. As you can see from my photo, it has been backed with cardboard and tape many years ago and has been fitted with wire so that you can hang it up as soon as it arrives.I also have the coordinating mate to this picture which you can see here ~https://www.etsy.com/listing/541055827/1950s-framed-ballet-printCheck out more cool items in my shop here ~ https://www.etsy.com/shop/CoolFindsShoppe~~~~~~In hunting for my treasures, I travel to many places to try to find the coolest vintage items to share with you in my Etsy shop. Isha Vidhya has been working for the empowerment of economically disadvantaged rural children in villages across Tamil Nadu since 2006.
