“This is the Americas so this is ‘our’ history that we learned about,” Stearns continued. “Sometimes the study of the Ancient Americas is neglected.”. Stearns has taught at Ocean Shore for 15 years. Her annual sixth grade ancient history productions began her first year of teaching at Ocean Shore. There are five rotating topics: Ancient Egypt, Ancient China, the Seven Wonders of the World, Ancient Greece and the Ancient Americas. This year, sixth grade teacher Jenna Gross (science, language and arts) worked with Stearns. This is Gross’s third year with Ocean Shore. Between the two teachers there are 44 students.
